The Micro Dragon was an active server on from January of 2009 until March of 2017.

The Micro Dragon was commissioned in January of 2009 with the task of taking over as a web server for the Indigo Dragon. The reason behind moved to this machine was power draw. The Micro Dragon has a specified peak of 22 watts. It normally idles around 18 watts and never peaks to more than 20 watts.

From 2009 to 2011 the Micro Dragon was located at The Garage. During the summer of 2011, it moved to Zen's shop—Rockford Steam Boiler in Roscoe, Illinois. It was there until its retirement in 2017.

In August of 2015, the Micro Dragon gave up control of all web functions on to the Sun Dragon but continued to run e-mail and DNS.

In March of 2017 during Internet maintence the Micro Dragon was shutdown after 358 days of continious runtime. After the shutdown it did not restart. It is likely the hard drive had again failed. A temporary server made a Raspberry Pi took over, and the Emerald Dragon commissioned to replace the Micro Dragon.

The Micro Dragon had an impressively stable 8 year life. It ran Ubuntu server and typically had the long-term stable release. There were multiple run times of 100 days or more with shutdown typically only happening for power outtages, and maintance. In October of 2015 the Micro Dragon had run for a full year without a reboot.
