A whole sea of Coots.  I've seen Coots in the past, but I don't think I've ever seen as many in one place before.  They seem to like Monona Bay.

   A close-up of the edge of the sanded floor.  I did this was 60 grit sand paper, but then found a more aggressive 40 grit disk and went back over it.  Better.

   This is the best part of a freezing ride on a Friday morning—French toast.

   Sunrise on my ride into work this morning.  The average low is now supposed to be above freezing, but the jet stream is pulling unusually cold temperature from the arctic—and it looks like the temperatures are going to stick around for awhile.

   Sanding has begun on the north-east upstairs bedroom.  The trim has been removed and the edges have been sanded.
